Stranded in Paradise

Hello paradise.

When I first started planning the trip to Cuba, marking destinations that we will visit and others that we will have to miss, Varadero was always a constant must-go-to destination.

Now for those of you seeking an authentic, culture enriching Cuban experience, skip Varadero. But for those sun-worshippers who just want the sun and fun holiday experience then you will love it.

Where do I stand? Well I wanted a little bit of everything. And now that I reflect on my Cuba experience, I did get a little bit of everything, so I have no regrets and I am happy that I saw what I ventured out to see and explore.

Varadero is known for its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. When compared with the rest of Cuba this place is extremely touristic but I honestly enjoyed my four days of leisure there.

At this point I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.

As you can see I truly enjoyed my leisure time! On this particular beach I felt like I was stranded in paradise. Varadero's beach is infinitely long but I felt most comfortable in this particular area as it was very quiet, not overcrowded with tourists.

As I am stuck in my room with a wooly jumper, staring out at the the grey sky, I can only close my eyes and dream of soft waves, palm trees, sun-kissed skin and fine white sand underneath my red-nailed toes.
